There are two ways of looking at most things. Either we are positive, such as the glass if half full, or we are being negative, the glass is half empty. Life is a combination of viewing everything in perspective, positive and negative. Since we do control what we are thinking, we can choose to be positive and therefore to be happy and content.

It means that if you are in a positive frame of mind one will decide that a glass of whatever is half full. A depressed mind or one in a sour mood will find it half-empty. You see, a glass that is 50% full is both, it just depends on your point of view to decide which one seems the most true to you at the time.

An optimist sees a glass as half full;
A pessimist sees it half empty.
