The point of loving God is because He loved us first. What's the point of loving your parents?
No, hating sin is not hating what we are, it's hating what we *do*. Sin is not who you are. We are fallen human beings, originally created good, who have a tendency to sin. But even our fallen nature is not truly who we are; it's a distortion of who we are.
If you hate God you cannot go to heaven. Why would you want to, since eternity would be spending time with someone you hated?
I don't follow your final statement. Saying "I can do what I want and be forgiven" is a sin called presumption. It's not going to fool God. How can you be forgiven for something that you don't truly regret having done? How would you feel if someone consistently borrowed money from you and failed to repay it, because they thought you would forgive them each time, and you found out they were doing this deliberately to get away with it? Would you forgive them after that? Forgiveness comes only with sincere repentance.
Life *does* matter to God, not because God is harmed by how we live our life, but because *we* (and others) are harmed by how we live our life, and He loves us. Just as a parent cares when a child makes a wrong decision.

Are you the sins you commit? No. God hates sin but loves the sinner. He is a loving Father who only wants the best for his children. His laws are there to help you find true happiness. The pitiful attempts we mortals make at happiness are so far from the true source. You will find that your final position in eternity is the place that you will be most comfortable based on the decisions that you have made in this life. God loves you no matter what.

>>>If God hates sin, then he hates what we are, or else he's lying<<<
Using that logic ... if a child does something that his/her mother doesn't like, then it means that the mother doesn't like the child. Right?
Unfortunately, the problem with your argument is that it shows an utter ability to separate the person from the action.
Of course, mothers and fathers do this with their children all the time -- children do things at times that their parents can't stand. But that doesn't mean the parents hate the children -- they just hate what they did.
If you're married, or if you ever get married, I hope you don't carry this attitude into your marriage -- that if your husband does something you hate, it means you hate HIM (as opposed to just hating his action).
So if parents are capable of still loving their children even when the children do bad things ... and if spouses are capable of loving each other even if they do things that sometimes make each other angry ... then don't you think that God is infinitely more capable of doing the same?

God LOVES all people, even the ones that sin. He HATES sin. But if you repent (turn away from and stop doing) and ask for forgiveness, we is faithful to forgive you, and he even forgets you ever sinned. God is not sending people to hell. He made Hell for the devil, and the devil tricked Adam into send all his descendants there. You can choose to accept Jesus as your savior and get off the road you are already on to hell, and get on the road to heaven. Accept Jesus, live for him and then do whatever you want. If he's in your heart you won't want to sin and you'll feel bad when you do. The boat wrecked, everyone's in the water. Jesus is the rescue/lifeboat. Go with him and live, or die in the water. Your choice.

:) God dosen't care if you love or hate him. All heaven and earth exist here on earth, this world is just an illusion. Its all about karma, you do good deeds, good things will happen for you. You do bad things, bad things will happen to you, so be conscious of your karma always. You only get what you give.
God is the sum of all souls that exist in every living creature (human, animal, plant or insect), time and space. Treat a person or animal well and you will be blessed and vice versa i.e. if you are mean or less than kind you may face wrath. Again, its all karma.

God loves all his children including you. The Lord gave us choices and the choices we make effect us in many ways. God is forgiving and he does not lie. Now the thing about going to hell
for the wrong we've done and the disrespect we show God shows our disobedience to our Heavenly Father so we must be punished for our sins as our earthly parents need to punish us for doing wrong. Read your bible on a daily bases and you'll have a change of mind about the good Lord

I agree, do you only love for ulterior motives?
Most religious people (of all faiths) are among the nicest I've seen, at least in a politically correct. They offer to feed you, they will drive you home in the rain or snow, they ask how you are, ask about your family. They have a glow.
If you beleive in God or Jesus or even Allah, and you only love them to get something out of the deal, is that love?
While we don't like seeing it on TV or in the news, if Adolph Hilter got arrested and jailed one see's him mom and dad saying "He's a good boy, he's just misunderstood, you don't know him like we do!" That's love! They love him no matter what!
What's wrong with love? All you need is love!
Jesus said love your neighbor as you love yourself and love your enemy the most.
Do you not love yourself?
People confuse love with intamacy. I LOVE HIM (therefore we kiss and do stuff) but I only LIKE HIM (so we are just friends).
In six years who will still be around, the one you loved or the one you liked? Maybe the one you liked loved you more than you ever realized it, not that they wanted to get intimate, but they cared about you. Enough to stay in your life.
IF GOD doesn't or didn't exist, is it wrong to love something was wasn't real? Is that really a problem? Does it make your love any less valid?
And what makes you think God doesn't love you. If God didn't love you/us/we, he would have wiped us out long ago. Instead, God is letting us wipe ourselves out! It is said at that time, God and Jesus will return and take many away to a place called heaven. Those who go will be in the book of life, those who don't won't. We don't know what that means, but if you LIVE for GOD and LOVE GOD only to get into that book, then you are just bartering for a get out of jail pass. What does that say about your sincerity.
If God comes and says you don't go to me, then I'll go out and find others and point the way to God, because maybe he'll take them, even though he won't take me.
How deep does your love go?

How can a God of love bare to deliver a guy to Hell?" loving some one does no longer propose you won't be able to punish human beings your moms and dads love you yet punish you once you do incorrect "How can a God of such righteousness bare to take a sinner to Heaven?" he won't be able to it really is the reason no sinners pass to heaven they must be cleansed of sin first by salvation in jesus.

If a person believes/ has faith that Jesus is the Christ, and that he gave his life as a ransom in order to pay the price of our sins that we might no longer be subject to death for our imperfect sinful states; and that Jesus rose from death and presented his perfect life as a ransom to God on our behalf;;;;; but then we continue to grossly sin against God purposefully---we are trampling on the value of the blood poured out in our behalf; and then that blood sacrifice possibly loses its value for us in Christ's and God's sight. There is sin which is unforgivable; it is sin against the Holy Spirit.
This is a topic with much to be learned about.
You can either keep finding reasons to deny righteousness or you can work to understand that there is spirit and truth available to you for your salvation. Struggle to get through the narrow door; because wide and spacious is the road leading off into destruction.

On the contary God loves man with all his being, he hates sin, not man.Life matters very much, it is the deciding oint of wiether or not you will accept God's great gift, Jesus you must be washed in His blood for all sin to be washed away. therefore God will then love you. Or He could have just wiped us all out at the flood
