Because they want to trick people with their own thinking and/or interpetation.(2Tim.2:16,19; 1Cor.1:23; Rom.10:3; 2Peter 1:20)The Bible says there's going to be alot of false prophets in the last days that will lead people away from the truth.(Matt.24:24; Rom.1:21-22,25)
**JESUS DIED WEDNESDAY APRIL 14, 31AD at 3pm.
A good foundation (1Tim.6:19) has solid ground evidence. The foundation should include 2Tim.3:16; Isaiah 28:9-10; 2Peter 1:19-21; 1Thess.5:20-21 & Ephes.5:9-10,13. To understand deeply--you must use these websites:

If you read Daniel 9:27; it says "he died in the middle of the week"; that would be Wednesday. This is followed by "3 days & 3 nights" = Matthew 12:40 which equals 1-24hr.day x 3days equals 72hrs. in grave. Next the Bible tells us it would be "after 3days and "not before = Matt.27:63-64 and Mark 8:31. It tells us in three days (John 2:19-21) and not after. The Bible also reminds us a day is 12hrs. not including the night(John 11:9-10). Remember also Gen.1:5 and Lev.23:32 tells us "evening to evening" is considered to be a day.

Now I know this is true because the MAJORITY(Matt.7:13) is always wrong. Also there's many clues that it wasn't a Friday crucifixion and a Sunday resurrection; look at 2Tim.2:18. But you will point out Mark 16:9 which says "Now when Jesus was risen[the perfect tense is correct here--he was already risen] early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene." Now the original Greek didn't have no punctuation. If the King James translators put a comma after the word "risen" and not after "week", this would make complete sense. The Centenary Translation renders it this way: "Now after his resurrection, early on the first day of the week he appeared first to Mary Magdalene

They conveniently over look John 19:31 says that it was a HIGH Sabbath. They can fall on any day of the week, and that year it fell on Friday, a high Sabbath is treated the same as the weekly Sabbath. Gen 1:5, 'and the evening (night) and the morning (day) were the first day', night before day, Jesus was resurrected by God on the first day WHILE IT WAS YET DARK, It was not even dawn yet, so lets count: Sunday night (our Saturday night), Sabbath (Saturday), Sabbath night (Friday night), Friday (High Sabbath), Friday night (Thursday night), Thursday, The day that Christ was Sacrificed for our sins. Three days and Three night, just like He said would happen, just like Jonah in the belly of the fish.

Jesus never stated that. Actually about the 72 hours. How many days is Friday? 1. How many is Saturday? 1. How many is Sunday? 1. What's 1+1+1? 3. See, this is how Jewish people calculate days, with any part of a day considered a day. It's really quite logical when you think of it that way.

Doesn't matter Jesus is a myth, just as many myths created for the same purposes many times before this last one in different names.
If you have some time and like a different perspective on the creation of the myth Jesus then get some popcorn and take notes and view the source below. Good luck on your search for truth.

Jesus never said 3 FULL days, nor 3 FULL nights.
He said: "parts of 3 days."
Although you make a good point in the sense the Jews back then did not name their days.
It was always "the day after Sabbath" or "the day before Sabbath" or "3 days before / after Sabbath."
They didn't know Friday from Pope John

Basically nothing more than tradition. They forget that there were more than one Sabbath at certain times of the year. Around Passover is one such time.
But mainly tradition and the borrowing from another religions holidays. Don't ask me which one though.

He never said three full days, or three full nights.
Mark 14:58 "We heard him say, 'I will destroy this man-made temple and in three days will build another, not made by man.
Crucifiction, friday, day one.
Saturday, day two.
Resurrection, Sunday, day three.
Find me the verse where he said three full days, and three full nights, and I'll concede.

You are incorrect. The text never says three *full* days and three *full* nights. Romans counted days differently than we do.

Tradition... that's all... sadly more preacher rely on tradition than on reading and common sense... but that one little detail isn't enough to debunk Christianity. It's just a matter of interpretation.
