They came down with the polar bears, via FedEx. God destroyed the first incarnation of FedEx, as well.
Edit - reading a couple responses here, I see that we have a couple folks that actually DO believe this ridiculous fairy tale. Let me explain... first of all, the story of Noah and the ark is quite impossible. (But through God, anything is possible, right? Mmkay) If the fact that it's impossible isn't good enough for you...
How about the fact that it's a pagan myth dealing with worship of the sun god? This is not conjecture, folks. This is fact. See my source...

Noah didn't have to find them. Kangaroos, dinosaurs, gym socks and common sense all came at a much later date. Australia rose from the deep only a few centuries ago, with roos, adorable Aussie accents and awesome beer already in place.

It is a crazy fairy tale so you can imagine it any way you like. Let's just say that the Starship Enterprise came back in time and saw there was a big problem with Earth that was going to affect the time line. So they decided to beam all the creatures back to where they were supposed to be. Then they used some terraform technology to make all the plants grow back. Finally they opened up a singularity and used it to travel back to the future.
The whole story is so absurd that my explanation is no more far fetched than the story itself.

Presumably, God - in his omniscience - knew that all animals would have to get on the ark (won't even get into how they all fit or how it could have lifted that heavy of a cargo), and either brought them to the place to embark... or made sure they got there via some other way beforehand (i.e. traders brought them and they escaped and made their way to the ark at God's command).
Whatcha think?

Definitely magic.

Well apparently they were relatively close by. As Noah was to bring them, he either found them or God caused them to come to Noah.
In fact it does not even matter as it happened.

Noah didn't have to seek any of the animals; they came to him.
Secondly, Pangea.
