If you like eating raw fish/crab meat then you should be fine. If if you don't then I would suggest that first you try the vegetarian ones and if you are OK with the taste try the Sea food ones. I did that as well and realized that crab meat wasn't for me and I do enjoy the vegetarian ones.
Hope this helps...

Sushi is excellent. Your mother and sister haven't tried enough.
Sushi is more than "raw fish." There are so many kinds, chances are you can find some you like. Some has only vegetables, some uses cooked seafood. When you eat just pieces of raw fish, that is not sushi, but sashimi. For sushi, you need to have the other ingredients served on a rice stick or some rolled up rice.
Good sushi (or sashimi) doesn't have a fishy taste or odor. It is very healthy, extremely low in fat, and a good meal on a hot day.
Don't get sushi at a grocery store. Go to a sushi bar and ask the chef to recommend something basic so you can learn what you like and how to eat it.

It took me a while to like sushi. The first time I tried it, I thought it was gross too. You just have to find a place that makes it properly. Now, I eat sushi as often as I can!
Raw fish doesn't have to be part of sushi; there are plenty of cooked and vegetable types to try. The most famous roll is called a California roll, which has avocado, fake crab, carrot and cucumber. I suggest you try that one first, then try other types as you get braver.
At first don't use the wasabi either (the green blob). You can easily burn your nasal passages if you use too much of it. Just lightly dip the sushi in light soy sauce and put it in your mouth all at once.
I hope you end up liking sushi! It's so good for you!

There are many different kinds of sushi, some of which are more exotic than others, and some of which taste better than others. A simple sushi roll like a california roll is very nice without any raw fish at all - just cooked crab. There are cucumber rolls that are also delicious with no raw fish. I also love tamago, which is a block of sweet scrambled egg tied to rice with a bit of seaweed. When you're brave enough to try raw fish as part of the sushi roll, mild fish like tuna or cod are nice. Don't try the exotic stuff like octopus, squid, shark, and fish eggs unless you're REALLY ready for it. Good luck!

It's one of the few foods I crave. And it's usually quite beautiful-- like little translucent jewels. But I'm afraid people tend to generalize about things they don't know about. There are so many varieties, you could love some and not like others. Sushi-- incidentally, does NOT mean raw fish or raw anything. A lot or most is cooked in fact. Sushi refers to the way the rice is prepared.

hells yeah sushi is good. so much of eating sushi is about textures and clean freah flavors. there is nothing better then a well cut piece of blue fin toro (its a variety of tuna). if you are wary of trying raw fish start off with things you are not as apprehensive over. such as.....if you like fried shrimp go for the shrimp tempura rolls. it is basically just fried shrimp wrapped in rice and seaweed (which you barely taste). then....get more adventuresome. find a friend who likes sushi and can recommend a good restaurant and good sashimi to try. give it a chance and you'll love it. i did and i do. :)

I love sushi. There's so many kinds. I would at least try it. You might like it. Just because mom and sister don't doesn't mean you will.

Sushi is good! Unfortunately, due to the health risk of eating raw fish, I stopped eating it. I don't recommend eating raw meat.

Sushi is amazing! Order as combo platter somewhere, and figure out what you like. Tuna and California rolls are my favorite.

I have tried it, and I like it. I eat it every few weeks.
Just because your mom and sister don't like it, doesn't mean you won't either.
Remember, sushi is just COOKED fish in rice. sushimi is the UNCOOKED fish.
Go try it. It isn't going to hurt you or kill you. Try one piece, and if you don't like it, no harm done, you just found it isn't for you.
