Make sure to ask questions or ask for help if you don't understand something. You are capable of getting passing grades if you try. If you are really trying to do your assignments and do well in school, and you are failing, you are probably not placed in the right class, so talk to a school counselor. School counselors are also good supports for dealing with the "drama" and personal issues.

Try to find some friends who are a positive influence on you and support for you, then try not to get caught up in the drama, which is in every high school. Use a journal or someone you trust to talk to that is outside the school (like a parent or mentor) and hang in there. High school is over before you know it. But make sure you pass so you can graduate. Good luck!

First of all, try not to be so negative about it. You are going to a new school, so it's like you have been given another chance to start over again. A lot of times your grades suffer not because you are not intelligent, it's because you aren't applying yourself because you feel like you don't want to be there to begin with. This new school can give you a new outlook. If you apply yourself and work hard, there is no need to be afraid of not doing well. Don't forget, in high school there are many opportunities given to "catch up", it just depends on if you take those opportunities or not. If there are things you don't understand in class, ask questions or even stay after school to get one on one help with the subject matter. A lot of schools also offer a tutoring program...take advantage of that.
Just work hard and have a positive outlook. Don't let the social aspect of school affect you. You are getting the chance to start new, it's up to YOU how you make things happen.

Relax, try to look at the positive. Its a new start. If you are having trouble talk with the teachers. Talk with the councelor/parents. Use this as a fresh start. I agree stay away from drama.Perhaps you could join sport / drama groups to make friends.

Remember what you think is socially important today may not even matter next year

First of all, drama will ALWAYS exist no matter where you go or where you work, So learn to deal with that one.
Second of all, your grades are nobody's problem but your own. You get what you put in.

Focus on academics. Do all the work, and just try. Also, talk to your parents and a school counselor about taking remedial classes so you can catch up.
