Don't be silly, the lizard people will get you.

You will be wasting you time but more so you will be endangering your life. After only a few yards you will be in danger of having the hole colapse on you. If you supported the hole you would be in danger after a couple of hundred yards. Then you wouldn't have even scrached the crust of the earth's surface. Even if you kept going somehow you would eventually reach a point where the pressures exerted on the material around you would create so much heat you would not survive.

Assuming that you are capable of digging through the molten magma in the center of the Earth, than I would say you would probably end up on the other side of the planet (if you didn't dig yourself into the ocean).

In theory yes, but you would have to learn how to survive high temperatures and pressures as well as coping with a lack of oxygen, flooding, gas explosions and prevent a volcanic eruption once you got through the earth's crust, so I wouldn't recommend trying. Then again I think the Channel Tunnel was a daft idea!

If you had a digging machine that protected you from the heat and extreame pressure and blocked the passage solidly behind you (so you don't create a volcano at your starting and ending site) then yes you could do it. However, I would advise you to do something else with your time.... Perhaps knitting is less potentially life threatening?

You will be wasting your time, eventually you may be able to dig through, but you'd get very hot once you reached the earths core.

Nope, you would just be wasting your time. The centre of Earth is 2 warm for you 2 be in! You would be dead...

You'll be getting to the molten core of the Earth, where you can burn up in the midst of your digging.

you'll fall to the middle, be pushed "up" the different part, fall back, sling shot back & forth etc. etc. until eventually you'll finally come to a end contained in the middle. you may die from whiplash & the like notwithstanding, assuming you probably did not burn/melt to lack of existence.

Technically you could, but it would take an awfully long time and quite frankly, flying would be more comfortable, avoiding the boiling temperatures of the core...

The lava'll get you before you pop out on the otherside.
But I think it's worth a try!

Let me know if you find Zion.
