With that kind of money, you'll have dollars left over after shopping exclusively at Ikea. There are two locations nearby, to boot! Forget about the recommendations for real furniture stores. Go to Ikea and save money for other things.

That depends on if you want new or used furniture and how badly you want it. Try Goodwill or the Kidney Foundation or some other charitable organizations that get used furniture donations to sell to get funding for their various charitable organizations or make jobs for those less fortunate. Nye

Go to Goodwill or Salvation Army - you can get some pretty good furniture buys!!!!!
We did and furnished a whole house!

I agree - craigslist is the best way to find reasonable items. I use them all the time! Also, IKEA is good place too.
