If you dye your hair a lot that is probably the culprit if you're not over 40. Only dye your hair once the color goes out a god few shades if you dye your hair at all but in this case it doesn't sound like age-induced heredity chemicals would be a factor. Other than that you may want to change your diet to include more protein since I've heard that helps hair growth. Other than that you may want to talk to a dermatologist or something.

It's normal to lose about 100 strands of hair a day. Some people lose more when seasons change (same principle as why dogs shed), but if your losing an unusual amount, it's probably because of a vitamin deficiency or a lack of something in your diet. If you've recently changed the way you eat, you can bet that's the reason why.

You may need to go see the doctor. Maybe it's a shampoo that you are using. Did you try new products in the last month. But you should go see a doctor b/c losing hair is a sign of poor nutrition or sickness. Or maybe its b/c its summer time and we normally shed b/c of the heat. You need less hair to keep you warm.

I was just talking to the lady that cuts my hair about this. Stress could be a reason for loosing your hair. She said her doctor told her that taking prenatal vitamins helps with this problem.

stress can cause hair loss.
it can also just be the normal time of year. right now I am losing more hair than i do at any other time of year.
if it really concerns you, go see your doctor to rule out alopecia, etc.
