This may seem like a pretty crazy question but, I'm going to ask it anyway because I really need help with this. My mom's friend is getting married Saturday and my mom's her maid of honor whatever and, she's planning on sleeping over tomorrow so she can be there on TIME on Saturday. Now, she's making ME go with her and I REALLY DONT WANT TO SLEEP OVER OR GO TO THAT WEDDING! Yes it sounds childish i know but the way i was thinking about getting out of it, is if i get SICK! With a cold or even better, a fever, so i was gonna ask yall, if any of you knew a good way to catch a cold.

Maybe there is a reason why your mother would like you to attend. This could be an oppurtunity for you and your mother to have a good time together.
If you really feel like not going, then maybe you should have your mother stay over and tell her the truth. The reason why you do not want to go.
Either way, she will still Love you

Try a heating pad on your forehead and cheeks for about 10-15 minutes before your mom expects ya'll to leave. Stay in the bed and act really weak and maybe a little dazed. Tell her you have a fever and need to stay home but that you'll be okay without her there. Maybe that will work other than that it's wedding bells you'll be hearing because I don't know how to deliberately catch a cold.

I've been in this situation and I understand the problem.

But ask yourself one question.

"How much do I love my Mom"?

What is one event in your life weight in the balance of how much your Mom has done for you. And in 5 or 10 years from now will the memory of your cheerful assistance give your Mom great memories. Memories can only be made now, not reversed later. And if you do not go that bitterness could remain a long time. Having you there might mean a lot to her.

Now having said that....if you really feel "put-upon" by being asked to go. Get your Mom aside to yourself and in a calm adult way tell her you simply do not feel comfortable going to this function. Ask her if she will let you gracefully decline.

If yes great, you don't have to spend the week-end in bed.

If she says she really wants you there then go and try to not be a jerk.

p.s. anything that will make your body sick for a while could make it sick for a long while. So don't do it!

Ok, what you do is eat somethings that you really hate, and a lot of it, then make sure you tell your brain to throw up, because sooner or later you will because you ate stuff you hate, then when you throw up tell your mom that you can't go anywhere for 24 hours incase you throw up again. Another good way of getting sick is taking a lot of pills even though you aren't sick

Oh for crying out loud, just go to the wedding and be polite. It'll be what, half maybe a full day? Big deal. Try acting a little more responsibly.

Don't get sick for real, fake it. To fully get that queasy, nauseous feeling take a multivitamin on an empty stomach (I reccommend Centrum) and the feeling will be genuine, then just eat something when she's gone and you'll be fine.

Tell the truth you dont wanna go.
faking is worse and you will have to deal with knowing you lied.

If you're an adult, which I'm assuming you are, just tell you don't want to go. What is she going to do, ground you?
