I get motion sick very easily and I am here to tell you that dramamine does not work, at least for me. The only thing that works for me is the patch that you put behind your ear. It is prescription only unfortunately but worth it. Be careful how long you leave it on though. I left one on too long once and I had a horrible case of cotton mouth and I felt a little dizzy, but I left it on overnight which is way too long. If you want to take a cruise, the bigger the ship the better. You don't feel like you are on a ship, more like in a hotel. hope this helps!!

I don't think that it would hurt you. I don't think you need both. If you are having that big of a problem, your doctor should be able to prescribe you something. They did it for me. I have taken ginger pills and Dramamine, but I don't think ever at the same time.
