The note 'raisin' comes from an previous Anglo-French note which skill 'grape'! Which comes from an previously Latin note 'racemus' which skill a cluster of grapes or berries. As for 'craisin', i imagine it is a very smart new note. Ocean Spray (or whoever 'invented' and sells dried cranberries) had advertising people to go back up with a clean call for them. 'Craisins' signifies that they're a technique of raisin, that you could use them an same way you take advantage of raisins. it really is extra imaginitive than 'dried cranberries' because it easily tells you what they're, or how they favor you to work out them, as 'cranberry-flavored raisins'--about an same length, an same sweetness, an same usefulness. Plus, a acceptance like 'craisins' will be trademarked so at the same time as the different company can promote dried cranberries, they can't call them 'craisins'. i imagine that's extremely smart!

Raisin in Old French means 'grape'. I think this is where they got it. See the link that I've included below:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raisin
On the other hand, sultanas are pale yellow seedless grapes used for raisins and wines.
