As a religious person that you are you should respect other peoples beliefs and I am not saying you don't... your sister... she's exploring.. and there is nothing wrong with that, be supported of her, that's what sisters are all about

Easy. You and your sister should join the Mormon Church. That way she won't have to date anyone out of your religion. Problem solved.

Ever think that the Mormon dude probably swore that he wouldn't date anyone out of his religion? He would have been right to stick to his own religion.

You live in the US (presumably) not Iran.

Suck it up - its a free country.. if your sister likes this guy and he's a decent guy (most "regular", non-polygamist Mormons I've met are pretty nice..). Don't force the issue, or make your sister choose or ostracize her..

as they say love is blind, and blood is thicker than water.. a lot of us have sibling that have made far worse decisions ... but family support each other, no matter what.

Never say never. You cannot help who you fall in love with or who you are attracted to. And sometimes opposites are very attracted! Don't hate her. Be a little more open minded. The same way that you believe strong in the religion that you grew up in, he probably grew up in his, so he can't just think that his religion is the wrong one just because it's different from what you believe. Anyways, if you are so christian, then you need to be more Christ like and love everyone!

Leave her alone this could be part of God's design for her and who would you be to get in the way. The Lord works in mysterious ways and this "mormon dude" could be a stepping stone to someone more suitable down the road.

It is her decision. You should want her to be happy. How old were you when you made this vow? People change, circumstances change, and sometimes it's impossible to keep promises made years before. You never know who or where you're going to be in 10 years. Try talking to her and find out what she sees in this guy. Love is deeper than religion.

wow....that could get ugly if they get very serious. because more than likely someone might have to convert. because his parents might not like the whole idea of her being catholic. how do your parents feel about them dating? try talking to her about this. ask her if things were to become really serious what she would do. would she stay being catholic or become a mormon. or would he change.

i'm catholic but i'm dating another catholic. i think it would be wierd not to. my brother's fiancee is now a catholic. she became one at easter. she didn't really have a religion in the first place.

It's not your issue. It's your sister's life, so BUTT OUT. If you truly believe, you should follow the principle of removing the plank from your own eye before worrying about the splinter in someone else's.

I wish her all happiness. For you, I wish you'd get a life of your own and leave your sister and everyone else alone.

Remind her of your promise and if ahe doesn't break up with him do the same thing. She can't complain because she did it first.

You can't change your family...but their still might be a blessing. Maybe he will convert!!! Keep strong in your faith...none of us are perfect...through your love you keep Jesus alive...If she is strong in her faith he may just see that in her and admire that...
