As a parent i love my kids equally. Sometimes one child needs more attention than the other, and in different ways, so it may seem as though that child is loved more, but it's not. I love my children in different ways, and I am proud of all of their achievements. Sometimes though, I do not like their behavior. Keep that in mind. Also, did you ever think that the one who gets less attention is the one that's favored. Maybe your parents want the one who gets more attention to be more like you.

I don't think parents love one child more than the other, but may get along better with one child. My sister felt that way towards me and my mom, like she "loved" me more, because I got the car, the clothes...whatever. I don't think my mom ever really understood my sister, but I did, and I made up for it by being really close to my sister and looking out for her. She still feels like my mom "loves" me more, but it doesn't matter now because she knows I've always been there for her no matter what.
I guess I should note that my sister and I have always been complete opposites..she's the tomboy, I'm the girly girl (it's just the 2 of us) and I'm the oldest, maybe that could have had something to do with it?

That's a good question! I have a son and always wondered if I were to have another child, will my love feel the same as I do for my son? Well I kind of feel guilty if I love more or less for my children. So its best to say we love our children the same. Every child is different, parents can recognize child's potential. Its not about how much love we give them, Its more of how you push your child to their full potential.

i think some times parents think that the other child is stronger and doesn't need as much support. Or that one is just easier to talk to than the other but i don;t think they consciously try to favor one over the other ... but i could be wrong.. but i love my children equal

I feel this way with my little brother sometimes. He has Autism, so he get's more attention than me because of his disability. But a lot of times, he gets the higher end on EVERYTHING, even if he doesn't need it. But I still love my brother SO MUCH, because he's adorable, sweet, and he wouldn't be the same if he didn't have his disability.
