until they give birth

2006-06-29 05:09:00 · answer #1 · answered by Fabio 3 · 5 4

approximately 60 days give a day either way. my cat went 65, but there was a problem and the vet said to bring her in asap. she needed a c/section as two of the kittens were cojoined(siamese twins) and together they were too big for her to birth naturally(they died) only one out of 4 kittens survived(this was a special case though as this mother had her own medical problems and vet said she would probably deliver problem or dead kittens) if you don't know when the pregnancy began a rule of thumb for me is once they start to show(sides start to get bigger/rounder) you probably have about 3-4 weeks left before kittens arrive(this is not an exact science, but it is what i have observed as far as noticing when they first started to look pregnant and when the kittens arrived.) a vet can probably give you a closer idea.

I think it is about 3-4 months. But the cat will know when its time. But call the vet to make sure that she can do it on her own. Most do and I see no reason why she wouldn't be able to.

Usually up to 67 days. Some signes are pinking of
nipples, increased affection, increased weight gain,
increased roaming around house or yard, pronounced
tummy area etc... Feeding at the early part should
be in line with your regular feeding amount, however
you may need to double food toward the latter month
of pregnancy.

63 to 65 days. Considerable howling may occur in the 1st stages of labor that may last 12 to 24 hours. And they'll seek dark secluded places.
