It is really hard to have much in the way of regrets based upon my 30's. The main thing I would change is that I would take back any hurt that I ever caused anyone. Beyond that, I would be scared to change much because the things that happened then are what led me to the here and now and life is pretty damn good at the moment.

If I could go back to the "perfect age", I would go back to 30, and live that part from then until now, all over again. I missed out on a lot of things that now, looking back, I ask myself,"WHY?" I went through a divorce, death of Mom and Dad, loss of a son, and several bad things. I lived in a miserable sham of a marriage, did without the affection of a woman, and tried to live for everyone else. If I could ONLY do it again!! Many , many changes, and a LOT more fun!

I would not have married husband # 2 & had my children. As much as I love them, I still wish I had run the other way when I saw him at my front door. When I married him I sold my house so we could live in "his" house, I sold off or gave away all of my furniture cos it didn't fit in his place, I covered his health insurance for the entire 10 years of marriage at great cost & never got a penny back. So now I have no home, no furniture, no money, two kids & I only get $200.00 a month in child support. The hassle he gives me is endless; he even uses our children to try to hurt me. I won't be free of him until the day he dies.

When I was 34, my husband and I lived with his parents for a little while. I didn't get along with my in-laws. I let the constant nagging and bickering bring me to a real low point and ended up drinking a lot. I ended up getting a DWI , which to me was very sad and pathetic considering I lost my brother to a drunk driver back in 1992. My in-laws never let me forget it. Still to this day we don't get along...even though it started before that, this seemed to drive even a deeper wedge. My views on drunk driving haven't changed. I still feel they should have stiffer penalties. Even if that meant I lost my license for a long time. I did an immediate turn around with drinking, but it still haunts me...

I moved to Georgia years ago. When I met my second husband we started moving alot. That was hard on my kids. I now wish I would of just moved back to my hometown with them and gave them a more stable life around their own family.
Last year I did just that and I haven't been this happy in years!

I wish I drank less, saved more, and treated the girl I dated then better. But, I will probably be saying the same about my forties! I haven't changed too much.
