As a professional chef, I am telling you now that this is disgusting behaviour that is not tolerated in my kitchen. If I ever catch anyone in my kitchen behaving like this, Cook, waitress, server, whatever, I would fire them on the spot.
So people annoy you? Get another job.
School janitors work at night and don't have to deal with anyone.
OOPS no tips, though.
People do not pay good money to have to put up with whatever problems or attitude you bring to the job. But since they are paying, you have to deal with whatever special request they may have. it could be something as simple as room temp bottled water or Cobb salad with no blue cheese. And even if it is something complicated like 140 degree coffee.
JUST SHUT UP AND SERVE THEM!
Why don't you post where you work, so people can let you know how acceptable your behaviour is by staying away. Then the restaurant will close and you can get a job as a telemarketer.

I have been a waiter for many years and I think people like you are in the wrong industry. No matter how bad people seem you should never do a foul thing like that...ever. If you can't handle the heat stay out of the kitchen. I would like to think you would never want anyone to spit in your food. Remember, what goes around comes around.

Besides for that being plain disgusting, NO, it isn't OK. There are alot of things that can be passed by saliva. A number of them you wouldn't want in your body. Not only the health concers of your customers, but you could and should be fired. If the health department found out about this, they could very well fine the diner you work in, and someone could even sue you. Keep all that in mind, and grow up.

that is just sickening......did you ever hear about the taco bell chain that got sued because they had an employee sh***ing in the refried beans,,,,and alot of people got sick from it. The employee also got sued. i would suggest that if you like money, dont spit. I work in a nursing home and deal with people who bug me all the time......you just need to grin and bear it....after all, they ARE the ones that technically pay you. and costumers are always right.

You work for people who bug you (boss), or do you serve people who bug you? What am I saying?! Spitting on anything, especially food, is plain disgusting. How would you like it if someone who didn't like you spit in your food? Ew.

That's disgusting not to mention illegal. Plus, who knows what kind of germs or bacteria you're carrying around?
If you hate your job or just people in general, then get a job where you don't need to come into contact with them......or you could just try to grow up, but that would be harder.

I wouldn't recommend it since they have this thing called DNA testing, and if someone suspected that you had done it, you and/or the diner would be sued for mucho cash.
