The glow of the fireplace or the soft light cast from my stained glass wall sconces are ideal. Early morning light is also nice.

Truth is both are good for me. When it is light you can watch a persons reactions and explore their body more, when it is dark you can fantasize easier and people tend to let them selves get carried away more easily.

I prefer candle light. It is like a romantic dinner. If it is dark how can you see your partner, or if it is bright it can ruin the mood.

Either way is fabulous but I do like to see everything. Why hide the human body? It's beautiful and sexy as all hell and plus, I can't see our reflection in the mirror when it's dark =).
