It always seems to occur that way. Someone that is in their early 40's dying. Perhaps they proved themselves to God and their time on Earth is finished? I do understand that just because you live a long and healthy life doesn't make you a bad person. So, do you believe the good die young? You would think God would want to keep them on Earth as a positive role model to everyone...

Being good or bad has no bearing on when a person dies. Look at all the young people who die every year because of overdoses on drugs, alcohol, driving excessive speeds, etc. Those are lives that could have possibly offered a lot, but they were already steeped in unhealthy habits. No, if only the good died young, then no one would ever be born at all, because no one is good in the eyes of God, all are born wicked of heart - that's why he sent his son as our Redemptive Savior, that we might have a heart that is now good and seeks and worships him!! Look at all the good people who end up in nursing homes with little personal care, but God still has a purpose for them, our lives, beginning to end are in his hands, whether we want to believe they are or not.

Whether you live 40 years or 100 years, its not about life on this earth anyway. The objective is to know where you are going and how to get there.
God can use 40 years just as powerfully as 100 years. All we have to do is look at the name of Jesus and his life.

no.

I believe you will die when it is your time to die.
I believe that you were born when it was your time to be born.
I believe that you occupy a position in life in order to fulfill the big picture.
I have a father that is 93 and he is still living alone.
Was he perfect? No.
It is a dilemma to consider questions like this one.
No one knows the answers truly.
Philosophers have been trying to deal with questions like these as long as there has been people on the earth.
You are never going to get a real answer.

I believe that the good die young, once you have fulfilled your purpose you need not stay here. Some peoples purpose is to be an example but not everyone.

Hm, I don't know if ALL the good die young. Example: Mother Teresa and Pope John Paul II were both old when they passed away and they were very good people.

Hi, well we don't necessarily understand everything that happens in this world, one of them being bad happens to good people. Well you could look at it that they were complete and perfect that they didn't have to go through this world to grow instead they went straight to heaven.
