unblock programs?

some of programs i have on my pc doesnt work, i keeo geting this messege that it says maybe my firewall blocking those programs, is there anyway i can unblock them ?

i have norton, i went to my control panel , i couldnt find anything says firewall there.

Go to your firewall settings. What firewall do you have?

You will have to go to the preference or settings and there should be a way to see all the programs that have been blocked or not blocked. You need to allow your firewall to access the programs.

It would be easier to help if I knew what firewall program youre using....example norton, mcafee, etc.

Go to your norton. Click on Security. There should be an option there to allow you to block and unblock programs. Do you have Norton Security Suite?

I tried to contact you, but it says your email is unverified. Email me back if you still cant find the access list. I need to know exactly what software you have. Is it Norton Security Suite?

It depends on your firewall, but if you open your firewall application, you should get the option to view programs and applications. This is where you can change the priveleges of each program. I always have mine set to ask permission so that I can decide what, when, and how often a program is granted internet priveleges.

depends on the firewall sw but just check the firewall settings and allow the most common programs to run or ask you if it is safe to run such programs before allowing or shutting it

You can use a website called siteunlocker located at http://www.siteunlocker.com , There all you got to do is put the url in the box and press go and it will take you there.

START> CONTROL PANEL> WINDOWS FIREWALL

CLICK ON TEH EXCEPTIONS TAB CLICK ADD A PROGAM

and add teh program yoo want to use

open your fire wall control panel and enter it in the allow list and will be ok.
