This folder may be used by installation/setup programs (and other programs) to store temporary data in temporary files. If you wish to delete the files in this folder, do so when not installing any software on your computer. It might be best to restart your computer prior to deleting any files in the folder. If a file in this folder is in use and has been locked by the program using it, you will not be able to delete it (you will be shown an error message), but some programs do not lock their temporary files and may crash if you delete the temporary files they are using.

C:\Windows\Temp are safe to delete. Because those are data from websites you visited. The other way to delete is.

1. On Internet Explorer, go on the top and press "Tools" then "Internet Options".

2. Go click "Delete Files" and "Delete Cookies".

Thats the safe way to delete them.

Normally you can safely delete anything in there. In some cases you may not be able to so if you run into trouble, reboot and then delete. Programs will place .tmp files in that folder and if the program is open it won't let you delete everything. Just don't ever store anything you need to keep in that folder.

yes it is safe, but there are two opinions: 1) clean it regularly so that you speed up your pc by deleting obsolete files, 2) do not clean it at all, while the files in it are useful for your pc (information about its activity is needed)

Yes. Unless you've placed a file there yourself that you want to keep, it's okay to delete what's in there.
