he wants you to be patient, unfortunately when you tell a child/young adult no, it makes them want it more...listen to your dad, but that doesn't mean you can enjoy yourself at the dance..he wants you to understand the boundaries...show him that you understand and next one may not be so restrictive..good luck.

Smart guy. Sorry, I know that was not what you wanted to hear. The boys will still be there when you turn 16. And you as a girl should only flirt with the guys you like and let THEM ask YOU out. Boys have to be the pursuers or else relationships don't go as they should. You can wait until you're sixteen. Focus on other things until then.

16 is a good age to start that sort of thing. It may not seem like it, but you are very young, and experience with boys that comes too early could be potentially damaging later on.

as long as you are going to the dance i don't see why your dad needs to know about it........ =p that's what i would do.
