Depending on where you're working, a sundae can be different from others. I used to work at Culver's and a hot fudge sundae generally was vanilla custard with hot fudge on top. However, other places include chopped peanuts, whipped cream, and a cherry on top.

As for scooping the ice cream, it helps if the scooper is rinsed with lukewarm water. That way, there's not extra ice cream stuck to the scooper, and the scooper can warm slightly, causing it to slightly melt the icecream as you scoop.

As far as scooping the hard ice cream...keep a small tub/glass of hot water close by with the scoop in it and the ice cream will come out easier.

Get an empty ice cream pail and keep hot water in it near your hardest to scoop ice cream. Put your ice cream scoop in the hot water before you scoop out ice cream.

Basic sundae is 3 scoops of ice cream, sliced banana, chocolate syrup on one of the scoops of ice cream, strawberry on the next and pineapple topping on the last. Top with whipped cream and sprinkle some nuts on top. That's a banana split.

maybe you could have a talk with the manager or owner and explain that you really want to be able to do your job well and have satisfied customers and ask if there is a list of ingredients for the menu items. and dont let your co-workers get to you. they are probably just jealous because you are a better worker than they are!!
