I would suggest going to the Caribbean... very romantic. The beaches there are absoultly amazing, the water is as warm as bath water and just as clear too. If you do go, however, I suggest taking the Eastern Caribbean iteniary. The cheapest way to go would be a cruise. You can get a 7 night cruise in January for about 550 a person. Of course you may be able to get that same price in July if it's 2007. The travel companies usually offer discounts for booking way in advance like that. Think about it.. if you go to the Caribbean by airplane, two tickets at best are going to cost between 600 and 1000 dollars, plus once you get there you have to pay for however many nights in a hotel, at what, 75- 300 dollars a night? Plus, you're going to have to eat and entertain yourself while you're there. With a cruise, you pay 500 - 600 dollars, and all your meals are included ( there is enough food and desserts on a cruise ship to feed a small country for weeks ) your room is included, entertainment ( comedy acts, broadway shows, newly wed games, and much more ) and non-alcohlic drinks are included as well. If you don't want to go on a 7 night cruise, you can get a 5 night for about 350 dollars. I would highly suggest going in January however, as all of the children will be in school. When you go during the summer, the ships are packed with children, and this does not make for a very relaxing vacation. Go online and look at the different cruise companies websites... this should give you an idea of what ship you like best, etc. May I suggest looking at Royal Caribbeans website... look at the Voyager class ships ( these ships are HUGE and have everything from minituare golfing to ice skating lessons, they even have rock climbing walls onboard the ship! ) We've been on Mariner of the Seas twice and loved it.... good luck!

Depending on what you are interested in, a cruise for you all during January would be super cheap. Plus, according to your budget, you can book 4, 5, 7, 9 , 12 day cruises to accomodate that. I highly suggest Royal Caribbean. I have traveled on the Voyager of the Seas and the Mariner of the Seas. Huge ships with lots to do!

If traveling from Nebraska, you could always go to Branson, MO or Colorado. Also, you may be able to find a good deal in July (because it is so hot) or in January (not a big travel month) to Las Vegas. Depending on whether you stayed on the strip or off plays a huge role on the cost of any hotel.

Good luck and congratulations!

We did the Mexican Riveria cruise for our honeymoon and it was great. Although, it's not the cheapest cruise you can take. Typically, the Jamaica, Cozumel, Grand Cayman cruise is the cheapest itnerary of most cruiselines. And it's a fun cruise too. I suggest Royal Caribbean. That particular cruise is typically around $500 per person with RCI. Plus airfare.

And the neat thing about cruises is if you really don't want to spend another dime while on your trip, it's possible.
