I agree with one Ms. I See It. It's "Maligayang bati sa iyong (inyong) kaarawan." Then add mom, mama, mommy, nana, whatever term of endearment you want to use (at the end or before it). "Inay" is the correct Tagalog term for Mom, but it's way too formal. Filipinos, are used to speaking in mixed Tagalog and English or Taglish.

you're close. it's "maligayang bati". it's also ok to say "maligayang kaarawan" since "birthday" is "kaarawan" in tagalog.

''Maligayang kaarawan po tita'' for respect purposes . she's your boyfriend's mom, rather say ''tita (woman that's older than you)" than "nanay (mother)'' since she's not really your mother.
