My church's youth group painted a wall mural in their youth room, and then several clouds each year with their signatures. We're thinking of redecorating the room - and we'd like to keep the signatures and mural. Is this possible? It's just painted on white paint on cinder block.

Take pics of the signatures and clouds and have them transferred onto tiles and then install-- This is also a great fundraiser way of making dollars .Have each member sign their name or add photo and transfer them onto tiles- which of course they will purchase. There is a company out there that will transform your photo into a wall mural of almost any size you want. It's not cheap, but it's available. When I worked for ERNST HOME CENTER in the early 80's, we have a mural of the moon on our lunchroom wall that was taken from an orbiter 1000's of miles away.

The only way that you can keep it is to take down the cinder blocks. Now you can take a picture and have it made into a wallpaper mural of the clouds.

let it go! it is just paint, you will have to paint over it. you can't remove paint from a wall! like the other answer, take a picture, and you can look at it anytime you want. don't lose sight of why you are really in church, it has nothing to do with murals, plaques, or historical builidings. focus on doing Gods work, and not on things of the past. I hate to sound harsh, but so many people want to live in the past, and not focus on the work that still needs to be done in church.

Nothing will keep the integrity of it. I'd say on with the new out with the old.
There are great photographers around. Perhaps a large picture of it versus the real thing. Tastefully put into frames or posters.
