Your friend is wrong on a couple of points. First, your school is unlikely to penalize you or your family for having a little bit of money in the bank. They just want to know that you aren't a wealthy student claiming to be poor. Second, your school very well might ask you to submit proof of any amount that you provide on your EOF, so tell the truth. Ask your Dad to look up how much money he has in the bank right now, and write this number down. They aren't asking for your account, DOB and SSN so they can steal your money -- but they do need a truthful assessment of your account balance. Simple as that.

Think of it this way: your school is not required to provide you with financial assistance -- they *choose* to help. In return, they have a right to ask you for documentation of any claims that you make on your application. If you say that you have $0 in the bank, they can ask you for proof (i.e. they might want a statement from the bank of how much was in your account on a certain date.) And if you choose not to comply, well, they can choose not to fund you. You are more likely to lose funding by *not* telling the truth than you are by being honest.

I would think that being of low income that your fathers bank balance is also low.
If it is not low,(subject to intrepretation), and subsequently verified, you will immediatly be turned down. If it is learned at a later time, that your entry was falsified, and you have sworn that your statements were true, by placing your signature to such a question, this could be construed as perjury. How serious depends on the amount of money involved. You may be required to repay, or just dismissed, maybe no charges filed.

Do Carlos and Mary have an same monetary company account? If convinced, you want to operate the money she deposited to the previous month's stability and subtract the tests she wrote. in the experience that they do no longer have an same monetary company account, this question makes no sense.
