My dad just died a couple of months ago, and now that he is no longer here, I realize more so what a great person he really was. My dad was not a expressive person with his feelings, but had a way of doing little things that let me know that he loved me and was really proud of me. I really didn't appreciate my dad until I got married and moved away about 15 years ago. When I was no longer in the same house with him, I realized how much I depended on him, but now that he is no longer here, I realize how much I really loved my dad. He was quiet, small man (in stature), but had a huge heart.

MY father died almost 2 years ago.
I loved him because he was a simple man, hard working and honest. He thought me to be the same. He showed me that you can achieve all your goals if you work hard, are fair to others, treat everyone the way you want to be treted by them, have a good sence of humor and enjoy your life to the full.
The most important lesson I learned, was that he showed me that mony is not an issue in life, as long as you have an education, or skill, money comes and money goes, but with doog education and work ethics, you can always get it back and enjoy your life.
I really miss hime sometimes, but everythime I think of him, I just smile, for all the good time we had together, from the time we went on a cruise ship to Finland, or when we walked over the brookly bridge together or took him to the top of Empire State building or when we BBQed in -23 degrese celcius in Sweden, wheneveryone thought we were nuts!

My dad died a long time ago, but in my opinion he was the best dad in the whole world, other men didn't even come a close second. He was kind, funny, really caring and he loved my mum and us and that was all we needed from him. I am in tears just writing this reply I love and miss them both so much, my mum died 2 years ago, I know for sure that they will be in heaven together that's all we need.

He's hilarious, sarcastic, obnoxious, he's one of my most favorite people in the whole world. I get my heritage and my love of music and animals from him. And he's always there for me, picking me up and putting me back on my feet. He talks things out with me when I'm confused or just need a shoulder to cry on. No matter how old I get, he always calls me "little princess" and no matter how old I get, I'll never get tired of hearing it, either. I love him, I just love him completely. He doesn't spoil me or give me everything I want, he teaches me good morals... But what I love most about my dad, is that's he's MY dad, and no one elses, even my siblings don't see him the way I do, so he's only mine.

I like my father because he is a hard worker, he likes to help people when they need help with something, he knows what he is doing, he is fun and social, he is strong, protective, and very caring. Even though he can be a big idiot and can beat the tar out of anybody. I just like my dad because he is unique and he is the one and only dad I know.

I love to see my dad with my kids. He's the epitome of a grandfather ~ loves to spoil the kids rotten, fill 'em with sugar, and send them home! We don't see him as often as we would like, so I've never complained. Thanks for asking that question ~ made me smile to think of my daddy for a while!!

I love the fact that he has always been there for me, even when I was a really bad teenager! He accepted me for who I was.
As an adult, He has become a friend to me, someone I can confide in.
