Worked out for about 80 minutes 4 or more times per week and joined Weight Watchers. Having to weigh in and knowing I had all those other members pulling for me, weight that had been clinging to me for 6 months finally started coming off. It's so mental. Also, do not use diet pills, but I highly recommend reading and interacting with the website www.fheit.com. Especially good is the inches and pounds tracker. Keeps you accountable!

October 2005 , quit smoking, started to watch my diet, I would walk 2-3 miles every day at lunch. February I started to swim every morning before work. I walked and it hurt, I tried to run , my body would not let me. March, the pounds were coming off. One sunny day I attempted a light jog. My body cooperated, I was running, slowly, but running, 2 miles without stopping, an incredible feeling of accomplishment and freedom, cried tears of joy the last 1/2 mile. Fast forward, now. I swim 5 days a week, I run 3 days a week, I weight train 5 times a week, I cycle 5 times a week. My weight has gone from 250 down to 190. I completed my first 5k road race, I am entering a triathlon in a week and I feel incredible. Not one cigarette, I look into the mirror and can't believe how much better I look. I will train like an athlete for the rest of my life. I can think of no greater gift that you can give yourself than a fit body and mind. Start small, start today and never under any circumstances give up.

At the most I weighed about 172 pounds (I'm 5'8"). I started swimming for about an hour three times per week, or went on long walks (about three miles) if I wasn't swimming. It was amazing how quickly the weight came off, and swimming is something that I really enjoy so it wasn't hard to work out. I also avoided eating too many sugary foods (I loooove candies but once you stop eating them you don't miss them after a while) and made sure to eat full, healthy meals. It was really exciting to get on the scale and see that I was losing weight and to be able to wear jeans that I hadn't worn in years! And I got a lot of compliments, which helped too :) Now I'm at about 145 (I was down to 140 but I gained back 5 after I was out of work) and am hoping to lose that 5 pounds soon! How? Well, I'll be going on a walk to the store later this afternoon - and I'm cutting back on unnecessary and empty calories (like beer!)

After my second baby, I was FAT. I weighed 215. I decided to do something about it. I cut out all white flour and sugar, ran every night (I had never run before, but I found out that I loved it) and lifted light weights.

I married my decision to be in shape, for better of worse. Even when i felt like cheating I told myself every day, "no matter what" It didn't matter if it was snowing, I would still go running. It didn't matter if I was depressed, I would only be more so if I ate a half gallon of ice cream.

Two years and one more baby later, I am still 70 pounds lighter and proud of myself for not gaining it back at all.

you could workout without dropping weight on a similar time as getting fit. in case you desire to characteristic bulk on your legs your terrific wager is to do squats, lunges and deadlifts. those workout build muscular tissues swifter than leg extention or leg curl machines via fact greater muscle tissues are in contact and you're able to be able to shield heavier weights. For bulk attempt doing those workouts 2 circumstances each and every week and stay between 6-12 reps consistent with set and attempt to advance the load a sprint a week. in case you do no longer desire to drop some pounds determine you consume each and every 3 hours and advance your on a regular basis energy via 250 an afternoon. degree your legs with a tape degree. in case you have no longer gained any length after 2 weeks upload 250 greater energy.

I was 208 lbs at my highest last year. I was determined to lose weight and eat healthier.

I love Tae Bo, especially the boot camp, Windsor Pilates Fat Burning- it worked! and I also have the gazelle- the cheap version from QVC.com.

I ate 5 small meals a day every 3-4 hours. It helps boost your metabolism. I had cereal (smart start) with sliced banana or strawberries, or oatmeal in the morning with a glass of orange juice or water. 3 hours later, I ate an apple or another fruit with water. For lunch, I ate a salad with chicken in it or a sandwich on whole wheat bread with crackers or baby carrots. Another snack 3 hours later was a yogurt with water or juice, or crackers and cheese, or oatmeal, (stuff like that). For dinner I ate lean meat (the size of your fist/deck of cards) fish is very good for you, with rice and a vegetable and water.

Water is very important to drink everyday.

I stopped drinking pop. If you drink pop, STOP IMMIDIATELY, I lost 20 pounds rather quickly, and the warts on my fingers ceased to exist. I was also involved with Football and Basketball and stayed active a minimum of 2 hours a day ,3 times a week.

to get and stay in good shape i find that having a buddy helps. for me that's my husband. we try to watch what we eat (most days) and we walk everyday around our neighborhood. it also gives me someone to chat with so that even though i am exercising it doesn't seem so bad!! i have been able to maintain my weight and stabilize my blood sugar. my husband has dropped a couple pounds and feels better...he can also eat pretty much what he wants!!
