It is very hard to forgive. I know, because I have been in similar situations. The only thing that you can do is remember why you are friends with her in the first place and think of all those good things about her. Pray to God and tell Him that you have a desire to forgive, but that you are very upset and are having a difficult time. Just lean on Him. After you have forgiven her, those upset feelings may return from time to time. Forgiving someone is a process that can be very long and difficult, especailly when the person that hurt you is close to you and you care for them very much, because your feelings are hurt. But, if you can successfully forgive her, you will feel much better about yourself and you will also be the bigger person.

We are only human... I am sure you probably do things that hurt her. One of my closest friend did the worst thing a best friend can do. Of course i was furious at first i just told her i can not see or talk to you right maybe never. Well time has passed by i have forgiven her and i can't say forgotten it's hard to do. I feel good now i see her every now an then. But the Christian thing to do is tell her you need space and time to heal.

I mean nobody is perfect. I can see how she promised that, because @ the time her intention was probably to never hurt you again. But things happen, and she did apologize. If she was sincere about her apology, yes, keep her as a friend and forgive her...but don't forget what she did because in order to make sure that same thing doesn't take place again, ya gotta remember!!! Just don't bring it up over and over & pester her about her mess-up. Good luck with yalls friendship!

Forgiving her is the right thing to do, because how we forgive determines how we will be forgiven. That being said, it does not mean we have to allow someone to mistreat us over and over. Yes, forgive and move on, but do not put yourself in a situation where someone can be mean to you.

Forgive. How many times do you want God to forgive you for your sins? Do unto others as you would have them do to you. Oh, and I typically give people a three strikes and your out policy. Hurt me once, that's okay, do it again, your in hot water, do it a third time and you can take a hike.

Forgive her. If your friend repented.

When Jesus was asked how many times we should forgive someone, He said "Not 7 times -- but 70 times 7 times."

The message is clear. Forgive your friend.

Smack her in back of the head with a Bible. That'll get the point across.

Or, if she does mean things a lot, you can drop her as a friend. Who needs someone like that?
