Is a 700c fork for a 26 inch bike?

I have a newer Schwinn Varsity and would like to put a carbon fiber fork on it...

26 inch is actually a lot closer to the 650c size, but not enough to swap them directly.

Nope, A 700c fork is for a road bike. It's similar to a 27 and a 1/2 inch wheel.

No, no, no. the 700c wheel is a standard road bike wheel size, actually slightly smaller than the 27" wheel.
