How long does it take to complete DNA identification of a person assuming you have your reference sample?

I know TV shows make it look really fast..for the sake of the show's timeline, but I've read in the news where it takes several weeks to complete, yet recently the military claimed to complete DNA identification on soldiers from Iraq in a couple of days.
