I started working out for about half an hour to an hour a day, and now my BMI is 9.0. I'm in my normal weight range, but I still want that six pack ^_^. Is it okay for me to keep working out, or should I stop?

Sorry, I double-checked and my BMI is 19.0. Whoops. Thanx esobel6. I'm not an expert on that subject, apparently. =P

P.S. I'm female.

It's not possible that your BMI is 9.0, you would be dead if this is true. Your BMI is probably 19-22. Anyway, you shouldn't stop working out, it is good for your sleep, your mood, and your health. Just keep doing strength training and cardio and you will see results.

as long as you're a guy, a lower BMI is okay, and i think you are. but if you're a girl, you need to have some fat for your reproductive system to run properly.
Even as a guy though, you need some fat reserves, because some nutrients/vitamins are processed with fat and you need to have it to process those most efficiently.
best thing to do is ask a doctor what the lowest BMI should be....but triathletes and stuff have to have very low ones and no one says they're unhealthy....
Just call up the doc, probably don't even need to go into the office.
Just don't take any steroids, shrivels the berries.

Yes. You should keep working out until you look like a man on the cover of Muscle and Fitness.

Sometimes "six packs" are genetic. I have one but would regardless if I worked out or not. If you feel good and feel you look good don't worry about BMI.

If you stop working out you will probably put back on fat. I would suggest you switch to more of a maintenance routine, and be sure to include some fun, like biking, swiming, or tennis.
