I think you can learn to do any function with a little adaptation.
even typing or playing the piano. but you might have to invent slight adjustments.

Picking wax out your left ear might be trickier if you always used that pinkie to do it.

And you can't hold a tea cup the "posh" way now with the little finger sticking out.... Oh no!

Other than those 2 silly suggestions I would miss it most using the left hand shift key on the keyboard....and if I played the piano too I might have issues!!

There's very little you can't do with a little finger amputated, it's your thumb and forefinger that do pretty much all of the work on your hands.

If you apply yourself ,you can easily overcome this physical imperfection.Toni Iommi,lead guitarist for Black Sabbath ,had the ends of his middle and ring fingers crushed off in an industrial accident and went on to become a legendary rock guitarist.
