If you like her..go for it! Ask her what she's doing after school and if she's not busy, ask her if she would like to hang out. If you have something already in mind, even better. If not, ask her what she'd like to do. The worst thing that could happen is she'll say no. That would suck, but it's all you have to lose. So go ahead, make you move!

Try to talk to her and get along with her as a friend. Nothing else. The basis of all good relationships is genuine friendship. Dont become too obsessed because you will scare her off and make yourself look silly. Even pretend you already have a girlfriend, you will come across more confident if you seem unavailable. Good luck

Go and start a conversation with her. Conversation starters in a school setting include 'aren't you in my (insert class eg. art, maths etc.)? How are you finding that homework?', or if you are at dinner try 'don't you just hate the way they cook the jacket potatoes?' or 'oh, you've taken the last strawberry yoghurt! i was going to have that.'

If it goes well say something to the affect of 'Are you busy later on? I was thinking of going to the (insert place here eg.cinema/coffee shop etc.) it would be great if you could join me.' If the conversation doesn't go so well, try and start another conversation on a different occassion.

ask her to do something with her mates and your mates together so you can get a bit closer as friends and then ask. a trip to the flicks or a concert as a group for example will be fun and you'll have time to ask.
