From any source, person?

There are many from W WII. I like one from a Japanese General, WWII. "We can never invade the US. There will be a gun behind every blade of grass."
What's yours?

Without Music Life Would Be A Mistake ~ Nietzche (spelling)

The only thing better than singing, is more singing ~ Ella FItzgerald

Frodo: I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.

Gandalf:So do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world Frodo besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring, in which case you also were meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought.

One I often have to apply here on YA in response to rhetorical or self-referential questions, is taken from the author Ayn Rand, who wrote Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged.

"Many apparent paradoxes can be resolved by noting that they are statements about statements (e.g., 'This statement is a lie'), not about reality."

I also like what the late SF author Roger Zelazny had to say about literature:

"To paraphrase Hamlet, Lear, Oedipus and all those guys-- 'I wish I had known all this sooner'."

I occasionally use that one in response to people who bring their personal problems to YA.

I dunno the authors of this but i usually use them: ^^

"Jokes are half-meant lies"

"Life is about making choices"

"We first make our habits then our habits makes us"

"The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak"

"Life of a man is like a diary in which he means to write one story and writes another"

"Many people worry a lot about tomorrow, because they didn't worry a little yesterday, about today"

and my favorite quote for every day is:

"come what may..." ^^

There are many more I just can't list them all here right..? ^^

Panda Watch. The mood is tense; I have been on some serious, serious reports but nothing quite like this. I uh... Ching... King is inside right now. I tried to get an interview with him, but they said no, you can't do that he's a live bear, he will literally rip your face off. - Brian Fantana (Anchorman Movie)

The old cliche from the 70's that today is the first day of the rest of your life. Corny, yeah, but it truly puts things in perspective.

"You will make all kinds of mistakes; but as long as you are generous and true, and also fierce, you cannot hurt the world or even seriously distress her. She was made to be wooed and won by youth."
