well. you can think about it two ways. You have a very strong relationship with your best friend, which eliminates some awkwardness and the small talk. This can make your relationship very sweet and true, because you already know this person like the back of your hand (by the way... which side is the back?? :-P) But you also need to take into account if you are willing to ruin your relationship with this person, because the whole dating thing may go sour. Your relationship could never be the same, whether it is for the better or worse. But who knows... you guys could be perfect for each other, after all... you are BEST friends. :) Good luck & follow your heart.

Most of the time your best friend ends up being the love of your life. Be care-full though if he or she is a cheater then most likely they will be with you too. Me and my husband meet in high school and played tag for years then became best friends and now we are married i couldn't ask for anything better. Choose wisely though because it might mean a relationship but it could also mean the end of a friendship. You have to be compatible or the friendship will not work in a relationship.

I think friendship is a great beginning to a dating relationship. When you're just friends, you're a little more willing to share things about yourself that you might be afraid to share if you were concerned about driving that person away. (Because you're more emotionally involved with the relationship.) I dated two "best friends" and the first ended with the agreement that we liked each other but didn't love each other, and the second one, I married. :) Dating friends definitely worked for me. :)

Yeah of course, being best friends is great coz then at least you know each other enough, going out with someone you picked up in a bar or something doesn't really have that familirity to it. So at leats you guyz know each other well enough and feel confortable already around each other to make the relationship grow stonger

I dated my best friend. It lasted for two years. Then he cheated on me a whole bunch and now we don't talk. I lost my best friend. So unless you're sure its a forever thing don't ruin your friendship.

If you are ready to destroy this friendship it's OK! But it certainly is difficult, because you already know him very good but not as a boyfriend and you might be surprised of what you gonna find out!

Not at all, that is probably one of the best ways to find your true love because you have known him/her for a long time and you know what him/her likes.

I don't know, it depends if you are really close, and no matter what would happen you will always be friends. If you're that close then you shoudl be able to date your best friend.

Just approach it really carefully--you can't be casual with it, if you want to keep the friendship. You need to be extra communicative about what you want and don't want out of the relationship.

i wouldn't because if it doesn't work out, it will be really weird between the 2 of you and more than likely it will wreck the friendship that the 2 of you have
