Why has not one religion's name of God spread throughout?

why should one bother about the existence of god? it is always better to do something good to our fellow beings and not to harm others

Great sages of India have reveled that there is only one God.
but that does not mean he has only one name. God is also given name as per his activity and quality.
Like Krishna means "All Attractive" so God is call Krishna. Actually all names of god have meanings, they may be lost now.
Its nothing wrong if God is worshiped with many names, IF AND only IF the intention is "to worship God".
If the intention is to put Political Agenda, or my community becomes bigger or any other selfish motive, then disagreement arises. then that is not "Good Intention".
God has many names and all are glorified.
Its very difficult to find such person, but even if there is disagreement, if the intention is to serve God then that disagreement will Go away.

Humans are not a creation of God, but the creator of god!
God is just a name created to give mental comfort and satisfaction. Some people may find this satisfaction and comfort in a particular name, especially the one of their own language or religion - the reason why they disagree on the name of God!!

well u answered ur own question like for one i am muslim right and the name of god is not god because GOD is a title where a name of god would be allah. in arabic countries jews, christians and muslims all call god allah. where in english the same can be jehova, where ever u go people have diff languages which is obvious to some one with a peon of intellegence so of corse people are going to disagree with what is the name. it pretty much means the same thing. but christians world wide believe that jesus is the son of god and jesus's name is spread through out the planet. jews have their hebrew word for it and as we all know jews are world wide and they speak what they believe to be the name of god and same for the muslims. there are over a billion muslims world wide. so it does spread through out the world

First of all, no one really knows the name of God. We don't really need to know the name. All we need to know is that there is God.
And the answer to your question is this. Location, culture, and language can greatly affect the way people perceive God.

In the three major religions, Christianity, Islam, and Judaism all of his so-called "names" mean GOD. He doesn't have a surname like Bill.

Because there is no God.
All the names people have come up with for an invention of their own depend on regional and cultural differences.

because they redefine the language and do not use the dictionary. They invent their own meaning..
Like the word gay. It used to mean happy. The real word for what we call a gay person is sodomite.
