And you got a female Chihuahua why? Did you think it would make for some funny breeding? Are you stupid? Chihuahuas are nasty little dogs and very territorial. You have to weigh your options here though.
1) Get rid of the Chihuahua
2) Kill the Chihuahua and feed it to the Lab as a snack or
3) Kill the Lab and have food for the Chihuahua for the next 3 months which will save you money.

There is a big difference in size but with a little patience on your part and supervision they should start to get along. The lab is curious over this new little creature and wants to check it out. The chihuahua is frightened over the size and is intimidated by the over curious lab.
She will snap and yip at him and act like a little killer beast. This will get the lab all excited and he will want to investigate even more causing all kinds of stress on every ones part. Introduce them under controlled circumstances
with you there to supervise. It will take awhile
but they will become friends. Feed them separately and make sure the lab gets plenty of attention. Good luck and hang in there, with patience they can become the best of friends.

Chihuahua's dont get along very well with other dogs and it might hurt the relationship you already have with your Lab. Find it a new home ASAP!

no, my dogs didn't get along when I brought a puppy in to the house at first, but now they are best buddies. The reason that they probally don't get along it that the lab mix has live alone with you (no other pets) for 3 years now and they you bring in another one, so he could be jealous, or just pissed off. So give it time once he realizes that she isn't going any where they will be buddies.

keep them separated for alittle while so they get used to the smell of each other/ then slowly introduce them...the older one will realize the chihuahua is a baby
but the lab is the BIG dog in its mind so give it time

Yes. I also have a male lab and he doesn't like the idea of another dog in his territory. I have tried it and it resulted in him peeing on my foot in front of the female dog I tried to keep.

Why not get saddlebags for your lab and put the chihuahua in it and see what happens. They just need to bond.
