Was raised in that church--myself and two sisters traveling in a gospel trio from the time I was 6 doing youth revivals and singings all over the country---shared stage with the Happy Goodman's / Stamps Quartet and many others---haven't looked back in many years--spent a number of years doing pop rock music --these days a pro photog producer dude---thanks for the memories here and I do hope the church has still got its core punch !!!!!!!

I was raised assaembly of God. Now I'm a Messianic Believer In Yeshua, and a Seventh-day Adventist.

I'm not AOG but, I know of few people who are, and they are absolutely wonderful faithful Christian people!
I think this is one of the denominations that should be commended for what they teach...(at least, as far as my understanding goes regarding them.)
Again, I'm not a member of the Assemblies of God....but I have utmost respect for them. (And being a "Charismatic" church is a wonderful thing...those who make statements otherwise; are sadly just expressing their ignorance. I personally think they're jealous. lol)

You have to learn to serve God selflessly to join his assembly.
You have to learn to serve out of Love for God.
any one serving that way is in the assembly of God ..

Good friend of mine is a AG preacher. Kid him all the time about abbreviating his church the ***. of God.
