should teachers be monitored closer? Why or why not?

Regardless of whether it's rape or consentual, a teacher should have better moral fiber than to sleep around with his/her students. The teacher should be dismissed and not allowed to teach. There are too many problems that can be encountered, accusations of bias, "free" grades, etc. In the case of rape, the teacher should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. He/she is in a position of authority.

Just likeanyone else charged with rape they should be sent to prison and when or if they ever get out, then they should be treated like all other sex-offenders, as in not being able to be close to children no more ( be it where they live, visit or etc.).

Teachers should suffer the same fate as regular child rapist. It is wrong and disgusting on all levels.

THIS IS WHY THE WHOLE COUNTRY NEEDS A CENTRAL OFFICE WHERE ALL CRIMES ARE HELD ON RECORD SO, WORK PLACES CAN DO A BACKGROUND CHECK ON ALL NEW EMPLOYIES BEFORE HIRING THEM.
