This is a question of personal preference. There are different benefits to running at different times of the day. The morning - which seems to be a popular choice- is a popular one because the elevation in heart rate will help bring blood efficiently to all the peripheral tissues of your body. This is what gives you a little more energy in the morning to start your day. Afternoon or after work is also a popular choice. I run at this time because the temperature is slightly higher. When the temperature is slightly higher you sweat more and burn more calories for your effort. It is imperative to run on an empty stomach though. Not doing so will result in fewer calories being burned and could cause the possibility of nausea and vomiting if you are not conditioned well enough.

I don't think it really matters just as long as you're getting exercise. Pick a time that works best for you and keep it in your daily routine to run at that time. Your body will be prepared and used to running at that same time every day. I suppose though for the summer, you want to either run at night or in the morning because of the heat.

It depends on what works best for you - try running at different times of the day and see when you like it best. Personally, I think early morning works best - exercising on an empty stomach helps burn more calories and you get a kick start on your day - it keeps you going and you'll feel really good!

Early morning. You cannot be hungry, but you cannot be too full either.
