I think the design of Kristal is very good, however I see that you are having some difficulty doing 3 dimensions. The images engage the viewer through each of the eyes, this makes them more visually interesting.
As a textile/fiber arts person, you probably are aware of the technique batik. That is whe your paintings remind me of. You might consider trying that as a medium.
