What is the worst professional massage you've ever had and why?

I had a terrible one a couple of years ago. she didn't use enough oil/lotion so she kept pinching my skin. she was also way too rough. I was incredibly uncomfortable the entire time and kept tensing up. I ended up writing a letter to the owner of the place and she was really rude to me. she offered me a free massage, but she practically accused me of lying and took the word of her therapist over mine. so I declined the free massage and told her I wouldn't be back. I also told her I'd tell everyone I know never to go there. I've told lots of people since then how unprofessional they are.

Around the corner from me there is a beauty parlor that started spa services a couple years ago, one of those services being massage. I had a coupon for an hour massage, so it came to be a lot cheaper than their regular price. I'm glad I didn't pay full price. This woman claimed to be an RN, and I could tell she had no massage training even though it was being touted that she did. She didn't even want to touch me in the areas that needed it which was a red flag to me. For the problem I have, it needs massage not avoidance of massage. I will never go there again.

From a woman who neglected to tell me her massage style was "deep tissue" when I was totally expecting something else. I don't even mind a deeper massage, but she rubbed so hard it created a lot of friction on my skin and burned!

A masseuse at my chiropractor's office. He didn't use nearly enough pressure!
