so long you lived your life fully and have a clear conscience, why be afraid of death?

personally, it seems that i'm not afraid of death and dying.
it is ok, as different people have different feelings under different situations
some who is afraid at one moment in a situation may/ can be not afraid at another time under a different situation
for instance, for the terminally ill patients who are ready and prepared
another e.g. some religious people

on the other hand, if the person who is not afraid has some negative thoughts as well and acts differently, this may indicate some emotional issues, which may need to be attended to, such as by talking with friends about the issues

you know I used to be afraid of dying. Used to dream about it when I was a kid alot. But I've had lots of fun in my adult life. I have loved, and been loved. Not 2 months ago I survived an accident where I hit a tree head on with my Honda civic. It cut the car in half, and I went through the windshield. I'm very lucky to be alive. However I have permanent scars on my face. To know that I would be dying tomorrow, I would have only one regret, and that would be never having been to Europe. Other than that, death doesn't scare me...Woman scare me!!

It seems to me that the ones who are afraid are also afraid of life and living. Death is a natural part of the cycle of life. What is there to be afraid of?

I think it is OK subject to having your mortality worked out. I am not afraid of death or dying, that said... the reason is that I have made and continued my commitment to Christ and my belief in and through him.
However, I do not want to die and hope and pray that whatever God has in store for me is not yet accomplished or completed. (That would mean that God no longer has need for me on earth and would call me to Heaven.)
The reason that I do not want to die is that I am just beginning to enjoy the many benefits of life, including the one of God's love and joyous fellowship with others, including friends, family, and others.

Sure it's okay not to be afraid. Death of the physical body is just another day in the eternity of your own mind.

I am not afraid of death. Why be fearful of the unknown, especially if you are religious. I personally am not very religious, but for those that are should embrace death if they follow the "WAY" of life. Live life to its fullest. One of my favorite sayings is: "Why take life so seriously? You will never get out of it alive."

It is very peaceful to have that mindset. You trust there is a better place than earth. Many wrestle with the fear of death in their minds on a daily basis. I did at one time. Its an exhausting way to live. Knowing that it is in Gods hands, lets you relax. A doctor may tell you have 6 mos to live - God determines that, not doctors. He is in control.

Fear of death is natural. It is a good thing. It (fear) helps force people to think about the here after. If you are saved, the fear of death is not quiet so frightful,- because we know our redeemer lives. Amen! I just got excited!
People who do not know the Lord have a reason to be scared of death. Because if Christians are wrong-then they just rot, if Christians are right-they burn--so either way they lose.
