egyptians viewed cats VERY highly...
how come no mention of cats during thetime of moses?

It doesn't prove anything that cats are not mentioned in the Bible. There is no mention of any kind of pets in the Bible....dogs, cats, hamsters, guinea pigs, etc. As far as I can tell, people in Bible days didn't keep pets. They had enough things to contend with in their lives without trying to keep an animal alive and well.
