It doesn't prove anything that cats are not mentioned in the Bible. There is no mention of any kind of pets in the Bible....dogs, cats, hamsters, guinea pigs, etc. As far as I can tell, people in Bible days didn't keep pets. They had enough things to contend with in their lives without trying to keep an animal alive and well.
