I'm sorry for your loss. Losing a friend is never easy, and that is what has happened to you. Unfortunantly time is really what it takes. Don't be afraid to talk about what you are feeling with friends, family, anyone who you care about and who cares about you. You might not realize it at first but bit by bit each day the loss will be a little easier to deal with and hurt a little less. Over the years I have lost several cats. It hurt each time. It hurt a lot! But now I can look back on my time with them and instead of it bringing pain it is a happy memory. You'll get there in time. Oh and if you haven't already, look up "The Rainbow Bridge". It's a story that has brought a lot of comfort to many people at times like these.
PS
I see many people are saying to go out and get another cat. I say that WHEN YOU ARE READY you should get another. Clearly you have a lot of love to offer a cat, and MANY are in need. You'll know when the time is right. And remember, you aren't replacing your cat. Nothing can do that. You're just making a new friend.

aww, I feel so bad for you. I say you have to mourn and feel bad about the cat. And then after like a couple days you should start not crying everyday and you will feel better. Think about all of the great experiences with your cat. And wait a littel bit and then when you want a new pet, go out and get one.
I hope that you feel better soon and sorry about your cat. :C

I know how you feel. My little kitten ChoCho died when i was 5 yrs old. Here's how you cope. Try to do thinkgs that make you happy laike go see a movie or maybe you could have a funeral for your cat. Thats wat I did with our cat. She now rests in peace in our back yard. I know it's hard losing a special member of the family or pet, but it's ok to cry. I still morn some of my lost pets. But it takes time to heal the gap your cat left. Just try to do something to rember him by so you don't forget him, but you don't have to cry about it. OK. Cheer up it's not the end of the world. Hope this helps. ^_^

So sorry. I have lost many cats and it is very hard. For me writing about them helps and imagining they are somewhere having a lot of fun. I believe they call the place where animals are "the rainbow bridge". Try a Google search on it.
And in time, try to get another. I could send you a kitten in a few weeks if I knew where you are. A stray had three at my house.

Don't worry Sweetie. It's normal to grieve. Some of us have
a deep sense of caring, and it takes us a little longer.
It's OK to cry. I lost my little dog a couple weeks ago.
She was 16. She was like one of my children. I was so
saddened, it was hard for me to even leave the house. Today
after 2 wks, when I talk about her I start to weep. I still feel the
loss. I was talking to one of my neighbors, and she had a hard
time for quite awhile. So you see, it is very normal to grieve.
Some people say to replace your pet close to as soon as
possible with another. I don't know about that; I personally
feel we need to go through the grieving process normally and
naturally. In time you will want another pet. That will be great.
Until then, dear heart, take care.

I am sorry for you loss, It can be just as hard to lose a pet that you love, as it is if you were to lose a member of your family.
The best thing to do is have a send off for the cat, like you would for and member of your family. This can help, lots of people I know have done this, and have said that it helped them get over it.
Just going out and geting a new one wont help. the Cat was a member of your family, and you cant just replace a life like that.

Aww I'm so sorry. I lost my cat about nine years ago-sometimes I still miss him! I think you just have to feel the pain and grieve now, but try to find ways to distract yourself and think of other things...spend time with friends or do something fun. In time the pain will fade and you'll just be glad to have had him, although it will always make you sad probably.
Do you write or draw or anything? Maybe you could express yourself that way; make something creative to honour and remember your special friend. Hugs & I hope you feel a little better soon.
PS One of our hamsters just died day before yesterday. :(

I understand how you feel. I have lost cats too before and cried everytime. I dont' think you ever really get over the loss. I still miss cats that I had as a child.
Give it time and then get antoher one. There are many cats that need homes and someone to love them.

One thing that most people do (I don't recommend it myself) is substitution. Replace it with another pet. I don't like doing that because for some people it seems weird to have another pet so soon after their other one dies.
Mainly just try to get closure and take your mind off it. It might seem hard to do right now, but it'll get better after a while..

There is nothing we can do to help! Just like the loss of any life, time will heal the wound slightly...but you will always be sad! Keep remembering like you are! Another kitten may take your mind off of the loss, consider it carefully though! Noone lives forever and everything happens for a reason...even if we don't like it!
Keep your head up and.... : )
Take care!
