It used to be back in the day you could get away with a movie or a mediocre restaurant but now it seems for the most part either would be somewhat lame. Is beer and pool in a nice clean poolhall ok? Would visiting a museum or an exhibit qualify as a date? Can a mini shopping spree done together be considered a date?

A date is anything where you and one other person do something together. Heck, you could make grocery shopping a date if you really wanted to! Go buy a bunch of delicious food and cook up a storm together. There's no place quite like the kitchen to heat things up!

The best first date, I have found, is lunch, during the week. This way you both have a limited time frame to eat and talk a bit. You can find out enough in that time frame to know if you want to see each other again. And if it is not to be, you are not "committed" to a whole evening and the cost is relatively low. Ideally, the first few dates should be things where you can talk...can't really do much of that at a movie. But any activity you do together can be a date.

Some 25 or older women require some indication that you have potential, which they determine by what you're offering...these women check out your attitude, personality, job, character, etc

Then look to see what can you offer in terms of good restaurants, quality movies, exhibits and other cultural events.

Most women at these ages have already done the juvenile dating stuff, so if you can offer adult type dating things, the better your chance of getting a quality woman becomes.

Yes, anything can be considered a date if you ask someone out on a date. You could go to the park and swing together while talking and that would be one. A date can be whatever you want it to be. Going to a movie and out to a dinner is a safe date, but if you and the other decide to go play pool, then that is what the two of you have decided together. Just make sure that when you ask someone out, that you are talking together about what you want to do.

I like all of the things you suggested, but never knew too many guys who would do any of the above. I enjoy dinner & a movie, or going bowling or skating. I love to play pool or any of the arcade games you find at amusement parks. Now that summer is here, a trip to an amusement park is a great date - lots of opportunities to hold hands & sneak in kisses!!! The most important quality or element, tho, is fun. I'm 44, by the way - well over 25! lol

i am 25, if we're talking first date, those things you mentioned (besides pool) seemed a little too elaborate, but maybe good for beyond the 4th date, especailly the shopping spree (that might be after your exclusive).

as a first date, i think dinner or playing pool is good so you can actually talk to each other, as well as good for later dates. movies i think are kind of lame cuz you can't talk to each other.

I would consider all three of your examples a date. To me, the qualifying factor is the company - for the most part, as long as it's just the two of you, it's a date.

I think with advance of age their choice grows more from a crowded place to a quite place where they can do many real things that the body and mind prompt at this age.

first date = dinner, second date =somewhere fun, some where you could show your personalities out, be the real you..nothing is better than the reall you, and trust you won't be able to do that when you are drinking and swimming and making out..go for the places that could help you bring out your personalities first...Good luck...
