Were you thinking about this last night too? I have more than one reason, but I agree with you on this one.
Someone told me on my question that I need to find a Bible because on judgement day my questions won't matter. Why won't they matter? Are we not allowed to question God and his supposed plan? I think non-believers, if wrong, are owed an apology. How can "god" expect us to be willing to believe in him when he gives us not one reason to believe? If he cares so much about us having faith, then give us a reason to have faith. Prove to us that you exist, do something! The fact that he cares nothing about the reality we live in really shows something.

Do you honestly believe that Christians never have doubts, that they never ask why, that they never get angry with God? It happens and its normal, you see God made us to be human beings and He knows what that entails. Just as I would question a parent when they asked something of me that I did not understand, I often question God and ask "why me Lord"? But when all is said and done, and the situation is over I can look back and see the lesson learned, or see how things happened in the order that they did for a specific reason.
Can you just imagine the chaos that would be caused if God did come to us in human form and visited each one of us individually? The reporters, the interviews, the mobs of people...how would He ever get His work done? Can you then also imagine how the government would love to get in on that kind of action? Wow they would have a hay-day making up all kinds of regulations and controls!
The conflict I hear in your words, I understand, but yet perhaps you are feeling that way, because you want the way to be easy. The faith walk is not. If each time we were looking for answers they just popped up for us, wouldn't life be grand. Unfortunately that isn't how the world works at all, even when you take Christianity out of the picture. Do I buy a new house? What is a good mortgage rate? What are the winning lottery numbers? Questions that don't have easy answers and they don't just come floating down to us written on paper.
Keep your heart open and willing, God will work in your life.

You're exactly right. God did just what you said about 2,000 years ago, in person, in Jerusalem, and they crucified him for it. His church is charged with doing that job today, and it's still being persecuted, as a result. God speaks to all of us constantly. We would all be amazed at what he says, if we only took the time and put in the effort required to listen. Most of us only do that when we're so desperate that we can't think of anything else, and by then it's often too late. The Catholic church continues to deliver the exact same message that was delivered by Jesus Christ 2,000 years ago. The only reason people don't recognize God and agree on his message is a little thing called sin, which messes up our perceptions and makes it easy to come to exactly the wrong conclusions about all things spiritual. Looks like it's happened to you, too. For more information or to post additional questions go to www.askmeaboutgod.org and receive a prompt, free, complete answer via email. Cheers! Doug

Really good question. My thoughts...go back to basics.
1. God does not use force and shout things to us. His voice is soft and still. He is always speaking but I guess we need to listen.
Christians hear God like the way sheep recognise their shepherd's voice.
2. As for why God didn't deliver the message himself? Well, he did - we have all heard many times, God sent his son Jesus.
Jesus delivered the message himself AND mentored disciplines to deliver the Gospel too.
3. Humans are not perfect and we always sin - even Christians.
We all make mistakes.
4. As for why there are contradictory messages - I say go back to the Bible and read it yourself. People have different opinions. The Bible has sections about the division of the churches. If you want read 1 Corinthians verse 10. Look it up in google or an online Bible.
5. Jesus spoke in parables but he explained what they meant. In terms that we understand, even in this century.
We all have heard many times God is love. God gives us free-fill.
We also know there is there is Satan, he is evil and father of lies.
Therefore, in this lovely world, there is God waiting for us to respond to him and then there is Satan & his workers trying his hardest to stop people from believing that the Christmas Jesus story is real.
Deep question...could write all day :)

1) You don't have the holy spirit in your heart.
2) You should read the bible it has all the answers.
3) That's because you are wicked and won't accept god.
4) Well, god talks to me all the time, you just don't want to listen.
5) And that's why you are going to hell!
6) Why don't you email me and I can tell you how to find god?
7) It's probably because you are a sinner.
8) Jesus speaks to all of us, but he only speaks American.
9) Job 39:10 Canst thou bind the unicorn with his band in the furrow? or will he harrow the valleys after thee?
10) That's because you are a Jew! (Muslim, Atheist, Gay, insert attempt at slander here.)
Did I miss any of the canned answers you are going to hear?
I'm sure there will be a few that are more angry than any of these.

God does speak that clearly and not always through other people. The only way to receive a message is to listen for it. If you are closed off to the idea that He exists, you aren't listening. God gave each of us free will. You have as much a right not to believe as I do to believe. However, you can't sit around and wait for Him to contact you. He has made it as clear as He can that he is out there and available. The rest is up to you. Don't sit around and wait for a miracle. Go out and find the miracle.

My God wouldn't have made us with minds to think if he didn't want us to make our own decisions- showing that you believe is what religion is all about. You cant be made to believe anything because that is not how God created us you have to choose to believe an then he will speak to you. As far as someone else telling you what God wants you to know better us tell you than you perishing in damnation for you sins. God sends profits or true believers because we are living proof. Believe what you like though, me personally: I would rather be a believer and find out God isn't real than not believe and find out that he is.
God Bless you*

God does speak directly to you, you just have to take the time to slow down and hear Him. God will speak though people, events, your consious etc. God has giving every person all they need to believe in Him. He left us the bible, telling us all about Himself and His followers. Look at nature, look at the amazing timing of every event around you, and you will realize that there is nothing more immediate you will realize then God is right in front of you.
When you turn all the junk noise out and listen and look for God, you will find Him. God loves you so much that He sent his one and only son Jesus to live and die for the sins of the world, to take our curse and our punishment, and God raised him from the dead! And i promise if you take the time, you will hear from God in one way or the other :)

So in other words: "You can't hear God, and you can't see God" therefor you can't understand God....
...so you're telling me: You have NO faith.
That's the first step...admitting you have a problem.
Although, Christianity isn't a 12 step program...and as unfortunate as it is that you don't believe; The only thing I can do for you, my friend - is pray for you.
I don't mean to sound patronizing, but "without faith it is impossible to please God...and you need to ask God (and him alone) to give you understanding as to what Faith is...and then, for him to help you discover it."
Anyone who is truly OPEN to God's moving, He will reveal himself to.
Are you open at all, to God's moving? Or have you chosen to close the door in his face? Have you dismissed the concept of God altogether?
(My heart goes out to you...you suffer from the symptoms of 2 Corinthinians 4:4; and you are fulfilling the prophecy of 2 Timothy 4: 3,4 )
"The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God." 2 Corinthians 4:4
"For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. 2 Timothy 4:3,4"
Remember though...the definition of "Faith"
"Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see." Hebrews 11:1
(this is what you need to ask God for....not signs and wonders...no "proof"...just "faith")

Forget religion.
Christ is the path of salvation.
Christ is the truth of God's Word.
Christ is the life eternal.
Joh 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Christ is the tree of life.
Gen 3:22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:
