This is tagged onto the end of a question Ive just asked. I once pulled a bird in Spain (Salou) simply bu sitting on a wall with my mate and wolf-whistling (pretty quietly) at certain girls. After 5 minutes, I'd caught one, and she was gorgeous. She stopped, we talked, we met later, and had basically a one week stand. Has anyone else ever done this? I'd recommend it, even if only 1 in 100 respond. How else can you quickly let them know you find them attractive? They can just ignore you, which is fine, and I don't think it's particularly offensive to them. Out of interest, I never tried doing the same again (don't know why), when I was single, and now I am in a serious relationship, and I'm average looking, i.e. not a sex-god that no girl could resist.... Anyone had the same?

Just based on the responses so far, (1) surprised any girls have responded (2) it's a very quick and easy way of showing that you find someone attractive. Chatting up seems to take forever and doesn't always work, even if both parties are interested (too many things to go wrong/say wrong from nerves). Lastly, respect to the girl who said she's whistled at blokes. I'm just gonna walk round the block for a smoke and see what happens. I will be back with tail between legs in 10mins.

Cool answers! Does this mean that if I became single again, I should use this as a technique? It worked for me, and some girls seem to like it...

If a UK woman were to wolf-whistle most people would think she was behaving a very 'common' manner. It doesn't seem very lady-like behaviour and I'm pretty sure that most girls want to be treated as and viewed as ladies.
Most ladies pretend that they don't like being wolf-whistled at but I don't believe that this is actually the case. A guy wolf-whistles, you get a boost, you feel sexy, you are glad that someone appreciates the effort that you put into looking good.

I get whistled at daily by women.
When I walk by women they actually turn around and stare the first time because most women have never seen such manliness. It's usually the 2nd or 3rd time of looking that they get over the AWE and decide to whistle. I feel that they are basically applauding God because God designed me so perfectly and I have kept that design so perfectly that women just appreciate it.
I will admit that I have had a few women just do a melt down gasp in front of me . I am very magnetically appealing . Most women , however do not whistle . They usually just tilt their head down and look up like a puppy to which I then gentle caress the back side of their head as they sigh in my acceptance.
So your question is flawed - women , when they see a man , a real man , a man of vibrancy , WILL whistle in a different way . A woman will whistle in gratitude with applause , as I have seen many clapping and whistling at the same time as I walk.
At this point I want to thank the women of this world who have appreciated the man who I have become. Thank you .

Because most women don't need to wolf whistle to get men attention. Why? because we are more lady like and have more sense than to draw attention like that to ourselves and embarrass other people like that. If we want a guys attention we just simply say something to them quietly or just keep looking hoping that they see and then go from there...sometimes flashing a little boobie doesn't go astray.

Actually whistling at someone to get there attention is a troglodyte's method going back to cave man days...you may have had an adventure due to your action but a long term relationship as a result of this approach is highly unlikely...

honestly - i dont do it coz I just make spitty sounds!! I cant grasp the wolf whistle technique sound at all!
However women DO love getting whistled at - its a great ego boost!!! Its also a cool way of pulling girls on the street - we dont all hang around clubs and pubs to be chatted up!!
Good for you!

I can't imagine wolf-whistling at a bloke. And it's repulsive to be wolf-whistled at, just makes me feel like a piece of meat.

To Bosco, your walk down the street sounds perfect. It must be awful though, at the end, when the illusion is shattered by the girl finding out about your tiny **** - only joking mate, all good fun. It''s a true story though!

Girls whistle at blokes. In general though, when blokes whistle it is aggravating to girls unless the girls are ugly. Only ugly girls like when they are whistled at like dogs.

I whistle at blokes. A woman should let a man know that she is interested just as well as a man does a woman.. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.
